Apprentices celebrated at Master Builders of Victoria Apprentice Award

2022 Apprentice of the year Awards ceremony

On Thursday night over 500 nominees, sponsors and industry came together to celebrate the hard work of Victorian Apprentice’s at the Master Builders of Victoria Apprentice of the year Awards.

Incolink is a proud sponsor of the awards program participating in both the regional awards and the final awards ceremony.

Speaking about our partnership and support of the event, Incolink CEO Erik Locke said;

“Apprentices are the future of the industry – and it’s safe hands with all of the apprentices I had the privilege to meet. We’re proud to sponsor this event, because it really is Incolink partnering with proven leaders at the MBAV to build a stronger industry. A high-skill, high-wage and diverse industry”.

Apprentice of the year Award

This year’s State Apprentice of the year award winner was Taye Cahoon, who also won the Metropolitan Apprentice of the Year - Future Builder Award. The judges were particularly impressed with Taye’s determination, skill and passion he’s displayed throughout his apprenticeship.

The Inspiration award

Erik had the opportunity to present the inaugural Inspiration Award, which recognises individuals who have navigated and overcome challenges throughout their Apprenticeship.

This year's recipient was Stephanie Craven, who has Autism. The judges were impressed with how Stephane overcame challenges her Autism presented her with, to work better with colleagues and clients.

Erik was particularly impressed with Stephanie’s determination “I was so honoured to give the first inspiration award to Stephanie Craven. She proved to all of us that whatever challenges you might have, you can achieve great things. A truly inspirational young woman.”
