Incolink Insurances explained (Part 1)

Posted on Dec 06, 2018

Paying for the things you and your family need is made easier when you are an Incolink member. Unexpected costs that come up for the average family can add up quickly. One of the great benefits of having your redundancy with Incolink is that we offer unique insurances to our members which act as a safety net for when life doesn’t go as planned.

What are the Incolink Insurances? If your employer is currently making the required level of redundancy, Portable Sick Leave Insurance (PSLI) and Income Protection & Trauma contributions, as a worker member of Incolink you are covered by the Incolink Insurance Program.

REDUNDANCY PAID Personal Leisure Time Accident Insurance These insurances offer a range of benefits if you have injured yourself outside work hours.

Emergency Transport* Ambulance coverage for you and your family anywhere in Australia.

Accidental Dental* Provides cover to the worker and their family for accidental damage to sound and healthy teeth which occurs in your leisure time.

Funeral Cover If a worker dies there is a lump sum benefit payable to their beneficiary or the funeral parlour to help cover funeral costs.

The Incolink provided Discretionary Covers include an Accidental Dental, Emergency Transport and Funeral program. The Incolink Insurance Program includes several beneficial policies either provided by Incolink or underwritten by QBE Insurance (Australia) Ltd. The policies underwritten by QBE, are held by Incolink controlled by entities. That is, Incolink is the policy holder and is not the insurer.
IPT PAID These insurances offer a range of benefits if you have an illness outside work hours.
  • Personal Leisure Time Illness Insurance
  • TAC Top-up
  • WorkCover Top-up
  • Death and Capital benefits (for workplace accidents only)
PORTABLE SICK LEAVE INSURANCE PAID If your employer pays and is up to date with your Portable Sick Leave Insurance, you may be able to make a claim for sick leave days.

In Incolink Insurances explained Part 2, in ONSITE Issue 84, we show how to make a claim and what your rights are if your claim is not accepted.
