Cbus is proud to support Incolink to help keep construction workplaces safe, as our industry continues to operate during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Incolink Health Bus has been on the road delivering mobile on-site COVID-19 testing to sites since late April. To date, over 5,000 COVID-19 tests with construction workers have been completed on worksites across Victoria and Tasmania through this important health initiative.
Incolink CEO Erik Locke says the testing undertaken by Incolink is reaching a cohort that state governments were finding really hard to pick up in sampling in significant numbers.
COVID-19 testing for the construction industry is also sponsored by the Victorian State Government and has helped the state exceed its initial COVID-19 testing targets of 100, 000 people, an important milestone that allowed more of the State to open up in May.
Last week, Cbus was on site with Incolink in Victoria, while testing was also underway in Tasmania, to make a short video providing a great insight into what the testing process involves and why members think it’s so important.
Thanks to all construction workers and employers who are participating in this free and voluntary testing program and who continue to look out for each other by helping to keep their workplaces safe and reduce the spread of COVID-19.
And a big thank you to all of the partners who have supported Cbus and Incolink deliver this initiative: CoINVEST, ETU (Vic), CEPU (Tas) and TasBuild. The Incolink bus partner is the Australian Prostate Centre whose doctors and nurses have delivered the testing.
