Frequently Asked Questions

If the course you’re interested in costs more than $1,500, you can pay the difference.

Each voucher can only be used for one course. If your course costs less than $1,500, the voucher will still be considered completely used.

Vouchers are provided to cover part or all of your enrolment fees.

Other costs will need to be covered by you or your employer.

We recommend checking with your employer to see if they would be willing to cover other costs.

When you go to the training voucher portal in WorkerLink you’ll see the eligibility criteria and know right away. You won't be able to apply for the voucher unless you meet the eligibility criteria.

If you can’t apply online but believe you meet the requirements, please contact our team on 1800 337 789.

If your application is declined and you believe you meet the eligibility criteria, you can call us on 1800 337 789.

If you’re not eligible for an Incolink training voucher, you can speak with our Training and Careers Advisor by calling 1800 337 789. They will be able to talk through other training options with you.

You can apply for and use two $1,500 vouchers during the life of your membership with Incolink. You can only have one active voucher at a time.

Each voucher will be valid for three months from the date of issue. If your voucher expires before you use it, you will need to re-apply.

If you change your mind about doing a particular course, you must cancel your enrolment in line with the training provider’s cancellation policy. Check the provider’s website or call them to be sure.

If you miss the training provider’s cancellation deadline, or don’t attend training that you’re enrolled in, you will forfeit that voucher. This means you won’t be able to use that voucher for another course.

If you want to cancel your training voucher, please contact our team on 1800 337 789.

Each training voucher is valid for use only by the Incolink member it was issued to. Vouchers can’t be shared with anyone else, even if they are also a member. If you know other members who want to do training, you can encourage them to apply.

We have consulted extensively with members, the CFMEU NSW, Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) including PICAC and the CMFEU Training Unit, employers, and government agencies to identify high-demand courses.

No. Vouchers can only be used for new enrolments made after the voucher is issued. They can’t be applied to a course you’ve already completed or are currently doing.

A unique student identifier (USI) is a government issued individual education number. It creates a record of all your vocational education and training (VET) achievements. If you undertake accredited training with a registered training organisation (RTO) you need to have a USI.

If you don’t have a USI, the RTOs which are part of the Incolink training voucher program will send you the information you need. You can create or search for your USI here: https://www.usi.gov.au/student

If you are an Incolink member and want to access training in Victoria, then you can access free or subsidised training at an Incolink Accredited Training centre.

Please contact them directly to register your interest.
