Bluehats Suicide Prevention

Incolink’s Bluehats Suicide Prevention Initiative helps workers who are doing it tough by providing someone to talk to on site.

Incolink has been trusted by construction workers for 30 years to look after the health, wellbeing and entitlements of our members. In 2018, we launched the Incolink Bluehats suicide prevention program in response to the alarming rates of suicide in our industry — around one a week Australia-wide.

Unfortunately too many of us know someone who has been impacted by suicide. For a worker who's doing it tough, having a Bluehat at their site means instead of bottling their problems up and running the risk of escalating their situation, they have someone they can talk to who can connect them to support services if they need it.

When a worker feels like things are spinning out of control, taking this first step and talking to a Bluehat can be a real circuit-breaker.
