Incolink launches construction industry job matching platform

Posted on July 01, 2024

Incolink CEO Erik Locke recently launched our new job platform Incolink Jobs, designed by and for industry.

As the building and construction industry faces ongoing skills shortages, retaining a highly skilled workforce is essential.

By 2050 it’s estimated that Melbourne will have the population of London, and the construction industry will be tasked with building the infrastructure to sustain this anticipated growth.

Why the platform is important

For workers, knowing that a job is coming to an end can be stressful as they begin to think about what they’re going to do next.

It gives workers an understanding of the skills, experience and tickets required to get their next job in construction.

The platform matches employers with appropriately skilled workers allowing to search through a multitude of diverse and skilled candidates filtering results by industry specific skills, experience, and tickets.

Speaking about the platform Erik said “Addressing the substantial future needs of industry means building effective links between workers and employers so we can tap into the modern, diverse labour market that the Jobs Platform is working to build and maintain Today, we already have 4,000 people on the platform, qualified and ready to work”.

How the platform works

The Incolink Jobs platform matches employers with workers who have the skills required to meet the project requirements.

The bespoke platform has been built for construction workers and employers making it easier for employers to find workers and for workers to find their next job.

For employers it makes the hiring process easier by not having to sift through applications that don’t align with what they’re looking for.

Instead, employers can select the requirements of the role and filter through qualified candidates to find the right person for the job.

Launching the platform

During the launch we were joined by Hon. Vicki Ward MP, the Minister for Employment, who spoke about the importance of having a bespoke platform that was tailored to addressing skills and labour shortages within the industry.

We were also joined by special guest Ms Sheena Watt MP, Parliamentary Secretary for Climate Action.

The Victorian Government has been essential to the success of this platform through their funding as well as for all their work through initiatives like the Building Equality Policy.

We would like to thank our stakeholders and industry for their collaboration to ensure the platform was built to support the industry for many years to come.
