Another year of supporting members through entitlements, industry leading health services and training
Posted on Dec 04, 2024
Our 2024 Annual Report released today shows how we have continued to support members and the wider industry while expanding our national footprint.
Throughout the year, we saw a 17% growth in membership numbers, confirming Incolink as the fund of choice for those working in the building and construction industry.
This growth has enabled us to support more members with entitlements and industry-leading services than ever before.
With an outstanding 9.3 per cent return, we are well placed to continue to invest in programs into the future.
We provide a safety net for more than 49,000 members – paying out just shy of $190 million in redundancy entitlements last financial year, to workers when they needed it most.
We have continued to invest millions in construction projects across the country, creating jobs for members and helping member businesses grow.
Investing back into the industry
CEO Erik Locke said the fund’s sound investment strategy enabled it to do more for members.
“This year, we invested more than $60 million directly into construction projects, providing employment opportunities for our members, while also investing $23 million into industry training initiatives, which benefitted more than 12,000 workers”.
“It’s exciting to watch these training initiatives make an impact — such as the Victorian Mobile Crane Traineeship Association, which has matured and become an integral part of the industry, recently graduating its fifth cohort of trainees" Erik said.
This year we launched a new employment platform, Incolink Jobs, which matches employers with workers who have the skills to meet project requirements.
The platform has been built by the industry for the industry, making it easier for employers to find workers ... and for workers to find their next job.
We continue to play an important role in advocating on behalf of the industry on important issues such as the need for regulatory reform to embed high standards across our sector and our ambition for a national portable entitlement scheme based on the successful Incolink model.
“With eyes on the horizon, we will continue to expand our mental health services, increase support for apprentices, and launch initiatives targeted at improving workplace safety”.
