Bringing Incolink health checks to NSW sites

It can be challenging to get to a health professional with the hours we work, having the service on-site I can see a [nurse] without having to take time off work

Erin, Incolink Member

In July we launched our on-site programs for our New South Wales members.

Starting strong with a booked-out health check program on a major Sydney project.

With the hours members work it can be hard to make time to go for a checkup, which is why we run these programs on-site.

Run by Health Care Australia, these confidential sessions make it easier for workers to keep on top of their health.

Throughout the day workers booked in for their voluntary session to look at things like blood glucose, cholesterol, blood pressure and lifestyle factors to catch anything before it gets out of hand.

The clinic was booked out and more have been scheduled to run across the State over the next couple of months.

Speaking about the program Incolink CEO Erik Locke said “We know that it can be hard to get to a GP, especially when construction workers are on-site six days a week. We’re looking after the health and wellbeing of workers by bringing these services to them".

The industry works long hours starting early in the morning without knowing what time they’ll finish, making it hard to book in appointments that usually run during business hours.
